Gautham completes 50% of 'NEP'

Gautham Vasudev Menon is proving himself as a multi-tasker. Though he is busy filming the Hindi remake of 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaya' and shooting his other project, 'Neethane En Ponvasantham' in three languages simultaneously besides producing 'Thanga Meengal', things are taking shape on a fast track for this ace director.

"I have completed 50% of Neethane En Ponvasantham. It is an interesting love story and all the three versions are coming up well," says the big daddy of romantic films. The Tamil version of 'NEP' has Jiiva playing the protagonist while Samantha is the heroine in all the three languages.

On 'Ek Deewana Tha', the Hindi remake of 'Vinnaithandi Varuvaya', Gautham says, "Prateik and Amy Jackson fit well in the roles played by Simbu and Trisha respectively. I don't want to compare Simbu with Prateik and Trisha with Amy. But I can say Prateik and Amy are as good as Simbu and Trisha are."

Sources have it that AR Rahman has composed two new songs for 'Ek Dheewana Tha', which Gautham is planning to release in January next year. This will be followed by the release of 'Neethane En Ponvasantham'. After that, the director will start shooting with Vijay for 'Yohan Adhyayam Ondru'.
