Abandoned by parents, she is raised as her own daughter and sister of Mahesh. The girl decides to sacrifice everything in her life for the sake of these good people and the problems she faces forms crux of the story. Shalini is the girl and Mahesh treats her like her own sister. Soon after the marriage of Mahesh, problem enters the house through Amala, daughter of professor Jayanthi. She soon starts doubting the relationship between Mahesh and Shalini.
What happen next is the conflicts between these characters and how they are sorted out. Lakshmi Ramakrishnan plays the role of Jayanthi, Sanjiv as Mahesh, Sreekala as Shalini and Mahalakshmi as Amala. Manikandan plays the character of Meyyappan.
