National award winning director Vettrimaran is all set to revive his long pending projectVaada Chennaiwith Simbu in the lead role. Kollywood's latest sensation Amala Paul, Kishore and Telugu actor Ram has also been signed to play prominent roles in the film. Sources say this film will narrate the story of a good fisherman who unwittingly falls in the trap of a mafia gang. As usual, this Vettrimaran flick will be set in the bylanes of Chennai with a realistic touch. Karthi, who was supposed to play the lead role, has reportedly opted out for reasons unknown.
Vaada Chennai is likely to be produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri of Cloud Nine Movies. The film is likely to go onfloors in February 2012
